mocaenergy

Over at recool (blog by Designers Westlake Reed Leskosky) there is a good review(including specs for energy consumption) of the MOCA Cleveland.

What is interesting are the graphs which are available (see above) which show dramatically which areas of the building use the most energy. In this case the Gas Space Heating is responsible for the largest percentage of consumption in a Baseline (what I interpret as a ‘normal’ building) but falls to a much smaller percentage in the proposed model. It will be interesting to see once enough actual data is collected if the designers and clients were successful in dramatically reducing consumption!
