Megan Santos has put together a good article on the potential career options that graduates have after earning an architecture degree. There are many roads to follow and if you take my path as an example, the sky’s the limit!
There are architects in finance, not-for-profits and everything in between. The thinking process that is taught in most programs enables critical and creative thinking about how to solve problems with many constraints. And I think that the business world is learning about the value of design. As Roger Martin, Dean of the Rotman School for Business once said, “When it comes to innovation, business has much to learn from design. The philosophy in design shops is, try it, prototype it, and improve it.”
There will continue to be many options for graduates if they can ask insightful questions and think about how to build creative solutions no matter what industry they find themselves in.[xyz-ihs snippet=”FiveSecrets”]
